The Wordpress Generation

By Ayub Yusuf

Wordpress is an open source platform that is very versatile for the use of creating blogs and websites. Originally set up as a blogging platform, it is still used as such, but it can be instructed to remain static, so that it performs like a website.

It can be made to be very SEO friendly with various plug-ins that are available both for free and some that will charge a small fee. There are also hundreds of templates that are available so brighten up your site, and really make it into any style that your wish.

Make it a point to find a good theme for your WordPress site so that it will look great and have all the functions you need. The site where you get your theme should tell you who made the theme, and when you install in you shouldn't take that person's name off if you can avoid doing that.

Many individuals not only take this blogging thing to share their experiences, but also choose to use blogs as a form of financial income. In fact, some people make a full-time living off WordPress websites if they have enough websites running.

Setting up your Wordpress website or blog is one process, then inputting your content is another. The Wordpress format allows a flow to your site that is totally and completely free and easy to implement. If you are new to Wordpress, it would be a good idea to get some "how to" information to catch up on some of the mechanical nuances, but that will be easy to learn and you are on your way.

Word press is Google friendly, as Google wants good content, and Wordpress is all about content. If a blog is what your want to do the, templates are set up with that in mind, but you can use Wordpress as a website by making it static and removing the blogging features.
